Colin Schreuder
Division Executive
Colin joined Hesper Engineering in 2021, bringing with him over 40 years’ experience in the ship repair and industrial engineering industry. Starting as an apprentice in 1981 at Globe Engineering, Colin has since then held numerous positions ranging from Apprentice Instructor to Divisional Manager at well-known South African shipyards such as Dormac, SA Five, Dorbyl, DCD Marine and Elgin, Brown and Hamer (EBH). His scope of work and experience includes all aspects of the engineering sphere viz: sales, commercial, technical and execution of projects.
He has been instrumental in securing ship / rig repairs / upgrades, subsea fabrication and industrial projects in Southern Africa. Colin has served as a Director of the South African Oil & Gas Alliance (SAOGA) from 2009-2011 and is currently the Chairman of the South African Association of Ship Builders & Repairers (SAASR).
Colin’s drive to make a difference in the industry he loves so much has gained him the respect of his peers. He believes success in the ship repair industry is reliant on building relationships with fellow workers, clients and contractors.

Rob Mark
Engineering Works Manager
With a strong technical and commercial background and extensive management experience at senior level within the project engineering-construction and asset care management fields, Rob has managed many complicated, capital-intensive engineering projects from inception through to the commissioning phase.
Rob is a qualified Marine Engineer with a solid foundation which has enabled him to develop a sound practical and theoretical understanding of engineering principles and practices.
